Recognizing the high functionality and reliability of the FedBizOpps system, the Department of Defense retired its separate online procurement site and began exclusively relying of FedBizOpps

Angela Styles, Administrator for Federal Procurement Policy at the Office of Management and Budget launched the Inter-Agency Contract Directory (ICD) website and sought the participation of agencies that manage inter-agency contracts in the ICD system

FedBizOpps was declared a winner in the competition for the Federal Acquisition award, "Business Solutions in the Public Interest" (BSPI). FedBizOpps was honored for its role in creatively changing practices, its significant contribution to achieving Presidential and agency mission, goals and objectives and its tangible results.

June 2002
Federation of Government Information Processing Councils (FGIPC) presented the FedBizOpps program with an Intergovernmental Solutions Award (ISA) for having demonstrated intergovernmental involvement of two or more levels of government in successfully delivering services to the citizens.
