IT accomplishments. The award, sponsored by
PostNewsWeek Tech Media and industry leaders, was conferred on
the FedBizOpps team for its record of excellence in applying IT.

Office of Management and Budgets Office of Financial Management
published guidance directing Federal agencies to use the Grants.gov/Find
system to post notices of funding opportunities under Federal programs
that award discretionary grants and cooperative agreements. See

Recognizing the high functionality and reliability of the FedBizOpps
system, the Department of Defense retired its separate online procurement
site and began exclusively relying of FedBizOpps

Angela Styles, Administrator for Federal Procurement Policy at the
Office of Management and Budget launched the Inter-Agency Contract
Directory (ICD) website and sought the participation of agencies that
manage inter-agency contracts in the ICD system

FedBizOpps was declared a winner in the competition for the Federal
Acquisition award, "Business Solutions in the Public Interest"
(BSPI). FedBizOpps was honored for its role in creatively changing
practices, its significant contribution to achieving Presidential
and agency mission, goals and objectives and its tangible results.
June 2002
Federation of Government Information Processing Councils (FGIPC) presented
the FedBizOpps program with an Intergovernmental Solutions Award (ISA)
for having demonstrated intergovernmental involvement of two or more
levels of government in successfully delivering services to the citizens.

Angela Styles, Administrator for Federal Procurement Policy, and Gary
Krump, PEC Vice Chairman, presided over an awards ceremony to honor
individuals responsible for the success of the FedBizOpps program.
Administrator Styles lauded the impressive performance and growth
of FedBizOpps from January 2001 to January 2002 and the example of
the FedBizOpps program as a leading government model for cross-agency
cooperation
